The 1960 play by Tennessee Williams is set on Christmas eve and tells the story of two couples, one newlywed and the other married five years, both experiencing periods of adjustment in their relationships. Williams subtitled the play his “serious comedy.” The New York Times reviewed “There are lines that sparkle with freshness of insight. There are scenes that erupt into laughter…….lights up with flashes of humor and sentiment.”
The show is directed by Larry Clark and produced by Cheryl Grace. The cast includes Mari Kenney, Jonathan Reisch, Bill Matkin, Carol Lindsay, Jim Lindsay, Meredith Blasingame, Terry Cullen, and Elizabeth Devlin. Stage crew and set design/construction include Lynn Young, Gloria Bernard, Dean Noel, and Cheryl Grace.
The show opens on March 21, 2014. The show dates and times are March 21, 22, 28, 29, and April 4 at 8pm and March 23 and 30 at 2pm. Doors open one hour before the show and seating starts 30 minutes before each show.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online at Brown Paper Tickets or purchased at Maggie May’s at 124 Main Street, Twinlight Creations at 136 Main Street, or Alice Moseley Museum in the Train Depot. Ticket fees are $14 adults, $10 Seniors 65+, veterans, military, and students with ID, and $6 for children 12 and under. Seat reservations can be made by calling 228-864-2882 or email the Little Theatre. Reservations for seats must be made for all ticket holders including season ticket holders to be able to accommodate the show’s audiences. Season ticket holders are now able to make reservations online through Brown Paper Tickets as well.
