The Bay St. Louis Little Theatre will open its latest production “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” on September 20th. The iconic play is a stage adaptation by Dale Wasserman from the novel by Ken Kesey. It opened on Broadway in 1963 with Kirk Douglas in the lead role as Randle Patrick McMurphy. In 2001, the play received the Tony Award for Best Revival Play.

The show is the season opener for the Bay St. Louis Little Theatre and the Diamondhead Performing Arts Society.
The show is directed by Larry Clark and is produced by Cheryl Grace. The cast includes Brandon Everett, Irv Hansen, Jamie Temple, J. J. Reisch, Chris Flynn, Jim Russell, Terry Cullen, Bill Martin, Clayton Pennylegion, Josef Spielman, Drew Puffer, Cheryl Grace, Katelyn Barnes, David Silverman, Elizabeth Devlin, Lynn Young, Tiffany Kelley, and Abi Milliken.
The show contains some mature language.
The show dates and times are September 20, 21, 27, and 28 at 8pm and September 22 and 29 at 2pm. Doors open one hour before the show and seating starts 30 minutes before each show.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online or purchased at Maggie May’s at 124 Main Street or Twinlight Creations at 136 Main Street. Ticket fees are $14 adults, $10 Seniors 65+, veterans, military, and students with ID, and $6 for children 12 and under. Seat reservations can be made by calling 228-864-2882 or email the Little Theatre. Reservations for seats must be made for all ticket holders including season ticket holders to be able to accommodate the show’s audiences. Season ticket holders are now able to make reservations online through Brown Paper Tickets as well.
